"SIERRAVILLE, Calif. -- Irene Delta Welke, a longtime resident of Sierraville, died Tuesday in Sacramento at the age of 79. Mrs Welke was a retired teacher in a school of the handicapped in San Jose. She was a native of Chico, Calif.
Surviving are her husband, Julius R Welke of Sierraville; sons Charles of Boise, Idaho and Frederic of San Leandro; daughters, Mrs Ted Winterhalter, Sacramento, Calif, and Mrs Paul Forester, Los Altos, Calif; a brother James Small, Sacramento and two sisters June Bedford, Texas, and Beatrice Fletcher, Can Jose, Calif; 12 grand children and five great-grandchildren."
